Golf Club Point
Old world charm meets mountain living in this beautiful whole home renovation. Every room was touched in this project including the main entry. The existing home was very traditional and dated. Greenfield and Siteline Cabinetry were used throughout the home.
Kitchen, Family Room and Pantry
The details in this kitchen added lots of character. Rustic alder tongue and groove ceilings, chiseled edge Taj Mahal countertops, knotty alder cabinetry with heavy distressing, a custom wood hood all worked together to create this cozy mountain kitchen. New, faux wood beams were added to the living room in addition to a new fireplace surround and bookcases. In the pantry, a change to the color Evergreen Fog on the cabinets provide a pleasant surprise and a fresh look.
Entry, Dining Room, Living Room and Tavern
The builder knocked it out of the park in this part of the house. The details Blackbird designed for the new stair railing were executed with excellent precision and care. New wood casing was added on the openings into the different rooms. A new front door and chandelier put on all the right touches. The most interesting part of the whole house is the little tavern off the front entry. We kept some of the original character, like the tin ceilings, but modernized the room adding fun details like the moody dark walls, new bar cabinets with a hammered metal sink and brick tile on the floor.
Primary Bathroom
The rustic old-world theme carried into the primary bedroom and bath. The original platform tub was replaced with a freestanding one, allowing for a larger shower. The fireplace surround was updated to a more rustic mountain vibe. The same style of cabinetry from the kitchen was used in this space.
Secondary Spaces
It is in the secondary spaces where the client really had some fun. Patterned floors paired with neutral palettes and fun, bright tile shower surrounds were incorporated into these spaces to add a little whimsy and a touch of more modern design.
