Eclectic Country Kitchen
What was once a dark, narrow and poorly functioning kitchen has been transformed into this bright, spacious kitchen ideal for cooking, morning coffee and entertaining. Natural alder cabinetry by Hallmark Custom Cabinets was paired with a custom buttercream yellow paint color by Greenfield Cabinetry. The homeowner’s eclectic country style is evident not only in their selections for kitchen finishes, but also in all of their furnishings and art throughout the house.
Space planning was a key part of this successful remodel. The wall between the dining room and kitchen was opened up for greater access to the mountain views and to bring in more natural light. The original back wall was brought forward to create a hidden, large walk-in pantry and improve the overall function of the kitchen. That change provided space for a large island in the center of the space and also eliminated a dead space to the left of the main kitchen area. The redesign also included the addition of a powder room and mudroom off of the garage.
La Corneau appliances, a custom wood hood, a plate rack and farmhouse sink all added to the vibe. The old, white tile floors were replaced with real stone tiles installed in a Versailles pattern.
