Genesee Vista
This project consisted of a remodel of the kitchen, laundry room, mudroom, powder room, bar, primary bath and two secondary bathrooms. The mudroom / laundry room was reconfigured to allow for more space at the garage entry and a more efficient laundry room. Their modern style was carried throughout the house.
Kitchen and Bar
The original kitchen had low ceilings and was walled off from the dining room. We opened up the kitchen, vaulted the ceiling, added faux beams and wrapped the existing structural posts with wood. In the kitchen we used a combination of Nickels Custom Cabinets and Siteline Cabients. The walnut accents were a perfect detail to tie into their existing furniture. The main kitchen light is by Visual Comfort.
Primary Bath
The primary bathroom also went through significant space planning. We removed the freestanding tub to create a large, two head shower. The existing skylight was kept. A large window was added in the shower to bring in more light. The closet was enlarged and the door was moved to create his and her closet spaces. Nickels Custom Cabinets were selected for the walnut.
Secondary Spaces
The mudroom / laundry room was reconfigured to allow for more space at the garage entry and a more efficient laundry room. The larger basement bathroom was non-existent. We captured some space out of the utility room to create the new ensuite bathroom and repurposed the cabinetry and plumbing fixtures from the existing primary bath to help save cost. Creating a wet room in that space helped to maximize the space.
